Pre Season Report
The race season is upon us and Sumo Power have got a busy year planned ahead, here is a run down of our motorsport activities this year.
Nismo Competition.com Drift team Drift superstar, Brett Castle will be piloting our all-new for 2011 Nissan S15 professional drift car which features a Sumo built 2.2 stroked 500ps SR20 engine and sequential transmission.
The Nismo Competition/Sumo Power drift team will compete at all rounds of the PIRELLI EUROPEAN DRIFT CHAMPIONSHIP as well as at selected race and show events for demonstration purposes. After a cracking first season in 2010 at the highest level of motorsport we have even taken on, we're going for it again! Our Sumo Power GT team is back in action and we're pushing harder than ever to get the GTR on the top spot this year, where it belongs!
With GTR blood running through our veins here at Sumo, the GT1 cars are fast becoming as legendary as Ichiban and FUUJIN with our customers, who continue to watch us take on the might of cars such as the Aston's, Ford GT's, Corvettes and Lambo's.

Silverstone is our team home race and we are looking to do something special to celebrate the fact, FUUJIN and a GT1 car side by side...hmmm watch this space!
FUUJIN returns! - Drag racing FUUJIN, our Nissan Skyline GTR pro drag car will make a comeback in 2011 to pick up where it left off having previously run an 8.27 back in 2008. A new HKS engine, bigger turbo and upgrades are being completed at Sumo where it will be run flat out on the engine dyno to around 1200ps and 10,000rpm. After a long absence we will finally see FUUJIN's full engine power unleashed ready to be installed back into the car and taken to the track this summer. Our target is to crack into the 7's...the story is far from over...
Events &Trackdays...Right now we are busy planning our year to attend selected events and trackdays to show customers the latest in our continued development of the R35 GTR, Evo X and Civic FN2 cars and parts and plan to attend as many events both static and on track as possible
