Recently competing in a pair of events at both the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) and famed Road Atlanta, La Rocca added another pair of wins to his resume and completed his final phase of testing heading into his national campaign.

"We wanted to travel to a few circuits outside of Florida that would really push our Ralph Firman Race car, the team and myself to the limits," expressed Robert La Rocca. "The season is fast approaching and I now feel that we are extremely prepared as we head to the opening round April 8-10 at VIR."

Looking to get up to speed early on the first of two race weekends, the Autoerrante-HP Tech Motorsport crew travelled to VIR for the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) event. Using the race as a test for the opening round of the F2000 Championship Series, La Rocca was up to speed right out of the box. As the fastest driver all weekend long, La Rocca set very competitive times to last season's Pro Series event there and had high hopes when he left the facility.

"The team and car are really coming together and we are hitting our stride at the right time. It is a good feeling to look at last year's results and see that our times in testing would put us close to the front of the field."

Enjoying very little time off, the Autoerrante-HP Tech Motorsport squad trekked south to Road Atlanta for the SCCA National event. Just as he did the weekend prior, La Rocca was very fast on the first day of testing and maintained that throughout the race weekend. Setting quick times with each passing session, La Rocca claimed the top step of the podium in his final test before the F2000 Championship Series kicks off.

La Rocca added, "I can not thank the Autoerrante-HP Tech Motorsports team enough for all of their hard work and efforts in preparation for this season. The boys at the shop have done a great job preparing our new Ralph Firman Race car and have been flawless trackside. I have high expectations for 2011 and hope that we all have the chance to celebrate together in victory lane."
