Facu Regalia left Adria very pleased with Team Ghinzani’s Dallara FPT progression in another test day, ending the journey as the fastest on the track.
The Spanish-Argentinean driver had a long hard day yesterday, covering a big quantity of kilometres with the car that he will drive this year in the Formula 3 Italia Championship. The nineteen years old driver tried numerous set-up solutions and was happy with his car handling.
“We tried to fine-tune the car in the best possible way for this circuit lay-out. We changed lots of things in the car during the day, I believe that I never worked so much during a test session before”, explained Facu Regalia. He was in this Italian circuit some weeks ago, but then the track was wet all day. Today “we put on the car new tyres and, with them, I could be less than a tenth faster than my team-mate, who has raced here before and is really fast. I analyzed the circuit with my engineer and I was able to improve my lines in some turns, something that was possible to see in the lap times”.
Besides, Facu Regalia was able to show a strong pace in racing conditions. “I think we are giving the right steps to have a good set-up for the races, with consistent lap times on old tyres. We – me and the team – are doing a great job, something that leaves us very pleased”, concluded the Spanish-Argentinean youngster.
In two weeks, Facu Regalia will be in another test, this time he will be at Misano, where he will continue this season preparations.
