PETERBOROUGH owner Rick Frost has denied claiming victory over the authorities in the winter-long dispute that threatened the Elite League futures of Coventry and Peterborough.
The Readypower Panthers boss said: "Headlines and stories about my comments to Peterborough supporters were not an accurate account of what I actually said.
"I made it totally plain that I was not prepared to comment on either what has gone on during the winter or the terms of the agreement between Coventry and ourselves and the BSPA. That's exactly what I did and what I will continue to do. "The real winners are the fans of Peterborough, Coventry and speedway in general because they will see an enhanced Elite League with ten clubs and that can only be for the good of the sport."
