Max left the latest official GP2 test happy after a constructive two days at the British Grand Prix venue…………….

Ending the two day’s of Siverstone testing with a lap time inside the top ten was satisfying for the young Brit, but he explained how the team’s test programme was the main focus in what was a weather affected two days;

“We didn’t get much running on the first day because of the conditions and decided not to use any slick tyres on Tuesday. That gave us a good basis to work on set-up options during Wednesday and the team got through a lot of development work, so overall it was successful. Obviously the lap times are important and in the dry we’re inside the top ten, less than 8 tenths of a second away from the ultimate pace, that’s really encouraging. Yesterday, in the damper conditions I was right up there on pace, so we’re pleased with how things are going.”

Max and the Carlin GP2 team have one more testing opportunity at Barcelona in two weeks time before the main series kicks off at the Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul at the beginning of May.
