Round 7: Derbyshire trial (Lancashire & Cheshire Car Club), 10 April

Ian Wright won round seven of the MSA British Sporting Trials Championship, the Derbyshire trial.

Wright’s victory brought him level in the title battle with Ian Bell, who finished second. Roland Uglow completed the podium.

Meanwhile Robin Jager drove smoothly on the dry bracken to win the intermediate class by two points from Richard Gowen, with Jeff Armistead the novice class winner from Josh Veale.
