Round 1: Myherin, 16-17 April

Reigning champion Tim Dilworth got his 2011 season off to a fine start by winning the opening round of the season at Myherin.

Dilworth was quickest out of the blocks on the opening run in his Peugeot 206 STi but former champion Richard Kershaw and Martin Gould were close behind. Dilworth and Kershaw continued to head the leaderboard throughout the opening day, while Bob Seaman was promoted to third after Gould’s Mattserati suffered electrical problems.

Dilworth remained in first place on day two, pulling out a lead of a minute by the finish. Seaman lost out on what would have been his best ever BCCC result when he left the road on the final run in his Milner R5. Dilworth said: "The track suited our car well and it’s a great start to our season. Hopefully we can carry on like this for the rest of the year."
