Motorpoints Bazooka aiming for explosive BSB start at Brands

The Bazooka, Loris Baz, is aiming for an explosive start to the British Superbike season at Brands Hatch this weekend.

The Motorpoint Yamaha rider is looking to recreate the type of form he showed during his time in the Junior European Superstock Series at Brands Hatch when he stormed to victory at the circuit as a fresh-faced 15 year-old.

And, although Baz, at 18, is the youngest rider in the MCE British Superbike Championship, he is already showing a level of maturity on the bike way beyond his years with a series of impressive pre-season tests at Cadwell Park, Knockhill and the new Snetterton 300 track in the last few weeks.

Says Baz: “I’m hoping for the same result as I had in 2008 when I won at Brands Hatch. I was only 15 then and although I’m still young I believe I have improved a great deal.  I really believe I can perform at the highest standard and that Westy and I can surprise a few people with the Motorpoint Yamaha team.”
