After suffering from contact and not being able to finish Round 3 of the 2011 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National presented by Mazda, Thomas McGregor returned to take the win for Round 4 at Virginia International Raceway. The twelve lap race started with Scott Anderson in the California Scents Pole Position, but after a short time, McGregor became a serious contender for the lead. The pair, along with Sebastian Ordonez and Brandon Newey fought hard and worked the draft to exchange the lead several times throughout the event.
Pole sitter Scott Anderson finished second, 0.025 seconds behind McGregor and Brandon Newey finished out the podium. Round 4 marked the third Skip Barber National podium for both McGregor and Newey, and the second podium for Anderson this season.
