BIG LIFT FOR FIM SWEDISH SGP  

Long-serving speedway sponsors Meridian Lifts have agreed a deal to become title sponsors of the FIM Swedish Speedway Grand Prix in Gothenburg on May 14.

The event, which takes place at the famous Ullevi Stadium, will now be known as the FIM Meridian Lifts Swedish Speedway Grand Prix. Meridian Lifts have been involved with the World Championship series since 2003 and have also served as sponsors to riders and clubs.

They will receive TV graphics coverage, interview backdrops and hospitality as part of their package.

Paul Bellamy, managing director of SGP series rights holders BSI Speedway, is pleased to have Meridian Lifts on board again this year. He said: "Meridian Lifts continue to be a great partner and friend of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series. We are delighted to have them on board in Gothenburg and I'm sure they will be treated to a great night of action."

Meridian Lifts founder and owner Andrew Tomlin said: "We are delighted to announce our return to the FIM Speedway Grand Prix after a year's absence with the title sponsorship of the FIM Meridian Lifts Swedish SGP as we continue our involvement with the biggest events in world speedway. We look forward to working with the BSI team again."
