Quaife MSA British Rallycross Championship

Round 2: Blyton, 7 March

Having missed the opening round of the championship, Kevin Procter made a late but strong start to his title campaign by winning the night race at Blyton.

Rain was falling by the time the Supercars came to the grid for the A final at 11pm; Procter appeared to have made the best tyre choice and led from the start. Defending champion Pat Doran initially made progress from seventh on the grid but caused the race to be halted on the fourth and final lap when he hit a course marker and scattered debris across the track.

The results were therefore drawn from positions at the end of the third lap, which allowed Doran to retain third place and handed the win to Procter and his Ford Puma Supercar.
