Motors TV, Europe’s first Television Network dedicated to motorsport, has announced scheduling details for its SATURDAY NIGHT live coverage of the prestigious AMA Motocross Championship Series.
For the first time in 2011, the ‘High Speed Television’ channel will bring all 12 rounds of the World’s premier outdoor motocross series live to more than 20 million subscribing households across 38 countries Europe-wide.
The AMA Motocross live series features 12 two-hour events running from May to September. The action will be screened in one of Motors TV’s primetime slots from 8.00pm to 12:00am, depending on the US time zone, and starts at 10.00pm on 14 May with a one-hour pre-season show and continues the following week with the opening round from Hangtown Raceway near Sacramento, California.
Every event will feature fully live coverage of both the 450 and 250 races and will culminate at the season-finale, the Pala National in California, on 10 September. The circuit is regarded as the world’s best due to its challenging tracks, large prize purses and world-renowned athletes like Chad Reed (Australia), Christophe Pourcel (France), Tyla Rattray (South Africa), James Bubba Stewart and Ryan Villopoto (U.S.A).
Frédéric Viger, Head of Programming and Acquisitions, Motors TV: “We’re extremely excited to have secured live coverage of the AMA Motocross Championship for the first time in 2011.
