Round 2: Silverstone, 7-8 May
James O’Reilly and Paul Platt shared the race wins during round two at Silverstone.
O’Reilly’s victory in race one was a lights-to-flag affair, though his winning margin over reigning champion Jason Dredge was less than a second. Erstwhile championship leader Louis Wall retired from sixth.
The second race was initially contested by O’Reilly, Dredge and Adam Underhill, but the latter two succumbed to mechanical problems. O’Reilly appeared to be on course for another win until his engine seized, allowing Paul Platt to take the chequered flag.
