Regalia heads to historic Spa for European F3 Open

Spa-Francorchamps hosts the next meeting of the European F3 Open for Facu Regalia, at the wheel of Campos Racing's  Dallara F312

The Argentinian  driver is fifth in the overall classification after his podium finish at the Nürburgring.

Regalia, despite his lack of experience in comparison with other rivals, has been a frontrunner during all three racesso far and, at Spa-Francorchamos, is aiming for improving his 5th place in the overall standings.

“Even I didn´t compete last weeks, I kept working to strength both physical and psychological capacities because it´s mandatory to approach my next event at Spa-Francorchamps properly. It´s a circuit that I like a lot but in my opinion every driver around the world thinks the same!. My racing background at Spa-Francorchamps is good, with some very positive races for me there in the past. I am looking forward to be back a year later”, Regalia explained, adding that “our test at Valencia was a help, with any doubt. It was very important for us, and I think we prepared well this meeting. Anyway, as always, we need to work as hard as possible to be in front. But I feel optimistic about our chances in Belgium”.

For Regalia, this round “is going to be one of the most important ones during 2012, and a tough one as well. We need to focus on completing two good qualifying sessions, because it´s important a good place on the starting grid and in this way to maximize our options in both races. Another key factor is the weather, let´s see. It may be either a help or our toughest rival”.

The timetable for next weekend is quite similar to previous meetings at Algarve and Nürburgring tracks. Both free practice sessions are scheduled on Friday, with Q1 and race one on Saturday at 10.45 and 16.30 respectively. On Sunday again another qualifying session at 9.30 and later race two at 12.00. Both races consist of 12 laps.
