Isaac Tutumlu, after being close to his first victory of 2012 season in the GT3 Cup Challenge Central last weekend, is back to the Porsche Supercup at the Valencia Street Circuit.
Isaac Tutumlu is taking part next weekend in the next meeting of the Porsche Supercup,. The Spanish driver of Kurdish ancestry, again driving for FÖRCH Racing by Lukas Motorsport, is racing in the second venue of his campaign in Spain, after the cancellation of the Barcelona round due to safety reasons.
The urban track in Valencia will be a new place for Tutumlu to keep improving his performance, after a great race in Monaco. There, Tutumlu was a man of the race, overtaking several rivals and coming into top-ten among 30 cars at track. Sadly another rival hit him and it prevented a better result at the end.
On the track in Valencia, Tutumlu explains that “being an urban one we haven´t got chances to make tests there, and it is going to make our performances quite similar, closer than ever. Here two events of this championship were held in 2009 and 2010, and my race during the first year was very good, because I was 6th when my car suffered a puncture. I like this track layout a lot. And of course I will be very motivated, because there will be many friends and fans supporting me and I am going to try my best”.
Both races ast weekend lwere at Pannonia Ring, an Hungarian circuit where Tutumlu almost won in race two – after suffering a puncture while leading on last lap-, were really important because
“I gained mileage at the wheel of my Porsche. No less than fifty or sixty laps are a great addition for us to speed up my understanding of this car. Anyway in Valencia we need to focus on both tires and brakes, because it is going to be a hot weekend and they will be the main areas suffering. That driver managing better both parameters will be the winner”.
On Friday there is scheduled a free practice session, with qualifying on Saturday at 12.25 and lasting for thirty minutes. On Sunday the race will kick off at 11.45.
