Great Friday for Regalia at Spa European F3 Open

Facu Regalia with a Dallara F312 fielded by Campos Racing, was second at the end of Friday´s free practice sessions. After some minor problems early in the morning, driver and team managed to solve them.

Regalia, who is 5th in the overall classification in spite of  it being his maiden season in the series, ended up second with a best lap of 2:18.286, less than two tenths slower than Gianmarco Raimondo.

Regalia, 20 years-old, explained that “in the morning we weren´t that lucky. We had some minor problems with the gearbox but managed to solve them for next season. Anyway, my laps in the morning showed that we had to make set-up changes, working as hard as possible on our car to improve our performance. We changed some set-up details and they proved to be step forward later”.

In addition Regalia was first in the second sector, “the most technical one and very demanding for drivers. By now we are half a second ahead of our rivals there. But we need to improve even more our top-speed, to increase our competitiveness in first and third sector”.

At the end, the Argentine driver added that “I think there is room for improvement tomorrow. Our results are very good, and the start for this weekend was positive. Now we need to confirm it during tomorrow´s qualifying and race”.On Saturday, Q1 starts at 10.45 with the first race kicking off at 16.30 and consisting of 12 laps
