Roger Moore scored a fine Pro Modified victory at the Summer Nationals to assume the championship lead.
Moore delivered a string of six-second, 200mph passes from his nitrous oxide-boosted Dodge Viper to take the trophy, including career-best figures of 6.665 seconds and 210.83mph.
Semi-finalist Graham Ellis, driving a turbocharged Plymouth Superbird, qualified on pole with the event’s low elapsed time and top speed.
