Rounds 6&7: Kirkistown, 30 June-1 July

Stewart Robb was in dominant form once again at Kirkistown, winning both top 12 run-offs and cutting Terry Holmes' championship lead to a single point.

Mike Musson had his best double header with two second places, despite his brakes overheating, while Holmes bagged a pair of third places to keep his title challenge ticking over.

The ‘Top Two Litre’ runner on each day was an elated Steve Miles, who punched the air after finishing ahead of Colin Birkbeck. John Graham, in his maiden championship campaign, bagged eighth on Saturday but was really in his element on Sunday with a career-best fifth.
