with the Team Romeo Ferraris Mercedes C63 AMG
Camilo Zurcher is ready to be back on-track for the next round of the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES at Spa-Francorchamps as the championship is about to line-up for the sixth round of the 2012 season.
Driving for Team Romeo Ferraris, Zurcher has been one of the major stars of the previous International Series round held at the Hungaroring, when he ended Race 2 into the lead. Right after the podium though, the stewards decided to assess him a 25" penalty due to an early contact with Domenico Ferlito and his Jaguar while fighting for the lead. Zurcher has now moved on and he's be back to training for the next round at Spa-Francorchamps.
The 31-year-old racer, born in Bogotà, is counting on a long-standing racing experience and is motivated to do well in Belgium aboard his competitive Mercedes C63 AMG SUPERSTARS racecar.“Now I'm only thinking to the next round in Belgium, I want to be there in full shape - told Zurcher - I got over what happened at the Hungaroring, although I still consider myself the real winner. I'm focused on the Spa-Francorchamps track itself, which is among the most spectacular in Europe. For me it won't be easy because I've never been driving there before but I will do whatever I can to be on top. The SUPERSTARS races are always spectacular and unpredictable and the driver line-up is stunning. For me it's a privilege to race alongside former F.1 stars like Liuzzi, Morbidelli, Salo and many more international aces. I want to end the next race up front, together with them”.
