Round 4: Snetterton, 14/15 July
The MSA Championship travelled to the Snetterton 300 circuit as part of the meeting featuring the 32nd MSA British Superkart Grand Prix and UK Round of the 2012 FIA-CIK European Superkart Championship.
Jason Dredge led the qualifying times with championship leader Paul Platt down in sixth place. However in race one Platt made a great start and by the end of the first lap was out in front to lead the field home. The Davis brothers were trying their best to get past Platt, including using the DRS systems that they had developed. However Platts experience shone through and he came home two seconds clear of Ben Davis, with returning past champion James OReilly completing the podium after a close race with former World champion Trevor Roberts.
Race 2 was a different matter and Platt didnt have it all his own way. Ben Davis took the lead at the start and held it until lap 5 when Platt came past, but Davis hounded him all the way and was only 1.6 seconds adrift at the finish. Toby Davis was third some 11 seconds back.
