Round 5: ALMC STAGES, 15 July

After a hard day in the lanes to the north of Dublin, Steve Simpson/Patrick Walsh emerged as top points scorers in their Subaru Impreza WRC on the ALMC Stages, the fifth round of the REIS - Get Connected MSA Asphalt Rally Championship. 

Championship leader Damian Cole and co-driver James Morgan had been ahead of them but, on the last of the nine special stages, their Ford Focus WRC suffered a problem with its fly-by-wire throttle mechanism and the time lost allowed Simpson to move ahead.
