Motors TV Weekly Highlights: 28th July to 3rd August

LIVE 24 Hours of Spa The blue riband event on this year's Blancpain Endurance Series calendarand a sportscar gem in its own rightthe Spa 24 Hours returns to Motors TV in 2012 with extensive live coverage. First held in 1924, the race has been won by iconic names like local hero Jacky Ickx, Formula One champion Guiseppe Farina and modern day sportscar aces Marcel Fassler, Romain Dumas and Stephane Sarrazin.            - Saturday, 28 July 2.30pm & 8.00pm- Sunday, 29 July 8.00am & 1.45pm  LIVE NASCAR Nationwide Series  NASCAR competing at Indy is a bit like playing rugby on Wimbledon's Centre Court, albeit mildly less chaotic, but the stock-car series' trip to the Brickyard has become a hugely popular event. With the championship battle narrowing to a contest between Elliott Sadler, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Austin Dillon and Sam Hornisha man who knows how to get the job done at IMSanother stellar battle is in the offing.- Sunday, 22 July 8.00pm   LIVE Italian Superbike Championship Extensive coverage from the seventh round of this year's Italian Superbike package at Misano is live on Motors TV. Action comes from the Superstock, 125cc and Moto 2 classes amongst others in this fiercely competitive domestic championship.

- Saturday, 28 July 9.30pm  World Rally Championship  First run as the Jyvskyln Suurajot in 1951, organisers of Rally Finland had the nous to re-christen it something a little easier for non-native speakers just a few years later. Sebastien Loeb, who is one of only four non-Nordic pilots to triumph on the event, will be keen to continue his 2012 title march with another win on the Finnish gravel.- Wednesday, 1 August 6.55pm (rally preview)- Thursday, 2 August 10.35pm (day 1) - Friday, 3 August 10.35pm (day 2)   Porsche Supercup Highlights from the Porsche Supercup's home event in support of the German Grand Prix. The field gets a big-name addition for the Hockenheim contest as Formula One veteran Nick Heidfeld makes a one-off appearance in the Stuttgart marque's 911 GT3 Cup machine.

- Monday, 30 July 3.45pm GP3 Series  The third season of GP3 competition has seen a trio of men emerge as genuine contenders for the championship. Pre-season favourite Mitch Evans heads the charge having taken two feature race wins, but Finn Aaro Vainio has the benefit of a Lotus ART team coming off the back of two successive tiles. Meanwhile Antonio Felix da Costa has received a huge boost after securing Red Bull backing and scored his first win of the season at Silverstone. Its game on as the series heads to Germany.
