In one months time (Sunday 26 August), Silverstone hosts Round 4 of the FIA World Endurance Championship marking the competitive dbut of the Le Mans 24 Hour race winning Audi R18 e-tron quattro in Britain.One diesel hybrid R18 e-tron quattro plus a conventional diesel-engined R18 ultra will feature in the six-hour race staged on the Northamptonshire venues 3.67-mile Grand Prix circuit amongst the anticipated near 40-car entry.Britains factory Audi Sport driver Allan McNish and co-driver Tom Kristensen (Den) start the Silverstone race leading the eight-race WEC by 6.5pts from team-mates Marcel Fssler (CH), Andr Lotterer (D) and Benot Trluyer (F) the winning trio of the Le Mans 24 Hours for the past two years.McNish and Kristensen will drive a R18 ultra with Fssler, Lotterer and Trluyer in the R18 e-tron quattro at Silverstone.Practice for the annual race will be staged on Friday (24 August) with qualifying for grid places on Saturday (25 August).
