Rounds 8 & 9: Kames, 28-29 July

Stewart Robb was in imperious form as he took back-to-back victories at Kames, bringing his victory tally this season to eight.

Robbs domination on home soil puts him back into the championship lead andbarring a major failure at Anglesey in Octobershould see the Scot retain his championship title. Erstwhile championship leader Terry Holmes took a third and a second place, despite having clutch and brake problems over the two days.

Colin Birkbeck recorded his best ever result on Saturday with second place, followed by a third place on Sunday. Meanwhile championship newcomer Roy Munro took his 1100cc OMS to a brilliant fourth on Saturday but a slipping clutch relegated him to sixth on Sunday.
