Motors TV Weekly Highlights 11th to 17th August

LIVE Grand-Am Amongst America's most cherished and iconic race tracks, Watkins Glen plays host to the Grand-Am Road championships tenth round with live coverage on Motors TV. The series second visit of the season to the New York State venue, Saturdays event will see Action Express Racing duo Joo Barbosa and Darren Law look to complete a sweep of wins at the circuit.            - Saturday, 11 August 11.00pm  LIVE NASCAR Nationwide Series  In a break from normal service August sees the NASCAR Nationwide Series stage two non-oval races, both of which will air live on Motors TV. The first stop is the iconic Watkins Glen circuit where Sprint Cup star Kurt Busch claimed victory 12 months ago.- Saturday, 11 August 7.00pm   World Rally Championship Highlights from this year's running of the legendary Rally Finland. Standing alongside Britain as the most visited event on the WRC calendar, 2012 represents the 39th trip to the Nordic nation. When the action gets underway Sebastien Loeb will be eager to extend his points lead, but the Frenchman should face stiff competition from Citroen team-mate and local hero Mikko Hirvonen.

- Saturday, 11 August 12.10pm  V8 Supercars  A double win last time out in Townsville saw reigning V8 Supercars champ Jamie Whincup steal a march in his bid for a fourth series crown, while Ford's Will Davison endured a rare off-weekend to slip behind team-mate Mark Winterbottom in the standings. The trio, who are now well clear of the pursuing pack, will resume their tussle for the title in Queensland.- Saturday, 11 August 1.10pm   Formula Ford UK The proving ground for some of motorsport's brightest stars, Formula Ford has undergone a makeover this season with the introduction of the sleek new EcoBoost car, seeking to remain relevant in a market awash with junior single-seater categories. The British series has always attracted the disciplines top performers, with the class of 2012 looking to emulate the likes of Ayrton Senna, Jenson Button and Dan Wheldon.

- Saturday, 11 August 4.50pm FIA European Truck Championship  If you like race-modified trucks going door-to-door in Europe's heaviest form of motorsport then it's fair to assume you'll enjoy the ETC's trip to Russian venue Smolenskring. It may be the mechanical equivalent of hippos running the Grand National, but from an action perspective it's tough to beat.
