Then we've got just the thing for you: the MXGP Festival from Matterely Basin is live on Motors TV, with an incredible 14 hours of coverage across the weekend. That's more hours than Messrs. Hoy and Wiggins have gold medals.            - Saturday, 18 August from 11.30am - Sunday, 19 August from 10.15am LIVE NASCAR Nationwide Series  The NASCAR Nationwide Series makes its seasonal journey across the US-Canadian border to race at the famed Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The event has traditionally seen open-wheel and touring car converts take their chance to shine on more familiar territory, with double V8 Supercars champ Marcos Ambrose claiming the win 12 months ago. 1997 F1 title winner Jacques Villeneuve is set to make his annual NASCAR cameo as he seeks to finally conquer the circuit that bares his legendary father's name.- Saturday, 17 August 7.20pm   American Le Mans Series After its blue riband events at Sebring and Road Atlanta, the American Le Mans Series chief attraction is the mid-August trip to scenic Wisconsin for a 4-hour race at Road America. Last season's contest was won by Muscle Milk Pickett duo Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr and, with the German pairing currently on a five-race winning streak, the safe money is on them repeating the feat in 2012.

- Sunday, 19 August 6.00pm  World Rally Championship  Last year's Rally Deutschland was abuzz with excitement as Sebastien Ogier finally ended Citroen team-mate Sebastien Loeb's seven year domination of the event. For this season's contest Ogier is driving an S2000-class Skoda while Loeb, who has taken the last four rally wins on the bounce, enjoys clear number one status at the French marque. You can draw your own conclusions as to who's wearing the favourite tag this time around.

- Thursday, 23 August 6.55pm (Rally Preview)- Friday, 24 August 10.35pm (Day 1)   Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup A narrow victory last time out at Norisring extended Ola Nilsson's advantage atop the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup standings and put the Swede within touching distance of his maiden series crown. He travels to the Nurbrgring knowing another triumph could be enough to seal the title.

- Wednesday, 22 August 2.45pm Special Stage - King of the Valleys It is a common misconception that veteran Welsh warbler Tom Jones is 'King of the Valleys', but in truth the man immortalised by hits such as Delilah and What's New Pussycat? is merely a knight of the realm. In fact, the true King of the Valleys is crowned after a grueling off-road trek across the most challenging terrain south Wales has to offer. It's not unusualin fact it's highly recommended viewing.
