British Rallycross Grand Prix Returns To Croft

2012 Monster Energy MSA British Rallycross Championship and MSA British Rallycross Grand Prix. Croft Circuit - Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October 2012

Following on from the success of last year's event, Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire will once again host the prestigious British Rallycross Grand Prix on Sunday 28th October.

Last November's event marked a return of the popular and exciting sport to the region after a two year absence and saw British driver Liam Doran emerge victorious in his Citroen C4 after seeing off a strong British and Continental challenge.

It is hoped that this year's event will feature a top quality international field following last year's inaugural running and will run to usual British Rallycross format climaxing with the Grand Prix race as some of the very best drivers from Europe take on their British and Irish counterparts around the fast and spectacular half gravel, half tarmac Croft track, which is visible to spectators all the way round and always provides close and spectacular racing.

In addition to the Grand Prix on the Sunday, Saturday will see the final round of the MSA British Rallycross Championship which should see all the titles decided and with a very strong local contingent in with a shout, expect the partisan crowd to be vocal in their support as a taster for the following day's action.

The mouth-watering prospect of Supercars capable of producing in excess of 500bhp and accelerating quicker than a Formula One car means expectations are high for the event and with the likes of Pat Doran, Julian Godfrey, Steve Harris and Ollie O'Donovan set to take on a very strong local challenge, it should be a memorable weekend.

Leading lights will feature in the Swift Sport Rallycross Championship including Northallerton's Paige Bellerby as well as Ainderby Steeple father and son Johny and Charlie Bean, who will all be in action and as well as the British Rallycross Championship Supercar and SuperNational categories, all the BRC support classes including Swift Sport Juniors, Super 1600, Hot Hatch, BMW Mini, Ripla Retro Rallycross Challenge and RX150's will see a packed support programme.

There will be entertainment and a licensed bar on the Saturday night. Trade enquiries, sponsorship and hospitality opportunities are available by calling 0333 2000 123
