SIMON Lambert will remain with National League Stoke after confirmation that he is not eligible to double-up.Lambert had been expected to join Premier League Rye House from this weekend, but he has stood by his original agreement with the Potters.Stoke boss Malcolm Vasey said: Simon has proven to be a man of integrity. He promised me at the outset of his current arrangement with Stoke that he would remain with the club until the end of the season. Despite offers from elsewhere Simon has remained resolute that he would continue as a Potter. I admire his resilience and honesty which is a rare quality these days.

SIMON Stead has paid tribute to the loyal Swindon fans who turned out in force to support his Testimonial.Stead was delighted with the event, which was won by Robins skipper Hans Andersen ahead of team-mate Jason Doyle with Pooles Darcy Ward third and ex-Peterborough man Ryan Sullivan fourth.Said Stead: It was a great night and I am very grateful for all of the people who came to watch, because we had a bit of rain when the gates opened which got me a little bit worried.I am grateful to the riders too because they all turned up and gave their best, and there was some superb racing which was good. I was pleased with the way I raced too although I was disappointed not to make the final.
