Solaris Motorsport set to go back on-track for Superstars testing

THE AMERICAN-POWERED RACECAR WILL BE RUNNING AT VALLELUNGA

Solaris Motorsport is restlessly developing their powerful Chevrolet Lumina. After having cruised to their maiden win with Francesco Sini at Mugello, the Swiss squad kept working hard and is focused on finding new solutions. The Abruzzo-based racer will aim for the Italian Championship in the last three rounds of the season and he's been leaving nothing to fate.As he is currently laying in 5th, just 16 lengths back from the Audi Sport KMS driver Johan Kristoffersson, Sini is still in contention despite the bad luck suffered at Budapest (where he scored an 8th place as his best result) and Spa-Francorchamps.In the first days of September, the Chevrolet Lumina will be back on-track for a test session at Vallelunga in an an effort to finalise the work done so far on the same venue that will host the penultimate double race of 2012, the last of the Italian Series schedule.Despite we've actually been pretty competitive at Budapest and Spa-Francorchamps, we suffered from several issues related to the lack of knowledge of a car which is in constant development. During the summer break we worked on several aspects, mechanical-wise. We're sure that, with these upgrades, will be back on the same path of Monza, Imola and Mugello, where we battled for the top. We can still aim at the Italian championship and, at the same time, there's still a chance for the top-5 of the International Series. I'm pretty confident.Francesco Sini has been enjoying a considerable success this season. In addition to his Mugello win, he also hit the podium at Monza in Race 2 and ended up in 4th twice at Imola and Donington.
