Fourth F.Renault 2.0 Alps win for Daniil Kvyat

WHO RULES RED BULL RING RACE 1

 A very important win for Daniil Kvyat, with his fifth place on the grid after a qualifying session affected by several stops and by changeable weather conditions.

Kvyat made no  mistakes in Race 1, already in first place after two laps, and keeping up the pace  - even when it started raining  - to a red flag waived when there was only 222 left.

At the start, in dry conditions, good start from Franzoni who manages to defend his first place. Behind him, excellent first stages for Kvyat who from the third row seizes second in few corners. On lap 2 Kvyat passes Franzoni and takes the lead.  Leo Roussel is back in the pits with the front end of his car damaged. Vermont in fourth closes the gap to Kujala who is close to the exhausts of Franzoni.

 With five minutes to go the first drops of rain start to fall and the Red Flag is waived soon afterwards to halt the race. The most important thing is that Ive been able to gain precious points for the overall standing. - commentated Daniil Kvyat - It was not as easy as it could seem as the track conditions were quite risky.
