SUPERSTARS Superstars issues updated Balance of Performance

Balanced performances between cars and exciting racing have always been the pillars of SUPERSTARS. That has been a way of life for the FG Group-promoted championship since its inception, back in 2004, and since then nothing have changed.

With the same spirit, the championship's Permanent Bureau issued a new Balance of Performance bullettin for the final three races of the 2012 season, in an effort to reduce the gaps between the fastest racecars of the series and the ones that faced some slight struggles lately.

The most significant update of the SUPERSTARS Balance of Performance will apply to the BMW M3 E90s fielded by W&D Racing Team for Paolo and Walter Meloni. The Bavarian machinery will have its technical weight reduced by 20 kilograms to a total 1230, after the tough time they had on the faster racetracks.

The Jaguar XFR racecars will be given a break too, with a 25-kg benefit (for a total of 1345) and an increase in their supercharger's boost level (from 0,55 to 0,70 bar). Audi will benefit from a bigger air restrictor (85 millimeters) and Lexus, set to rejoin the ranks after a successful test with the MRT-prepared IS F and Michele Faccin, will also have their weight reduced by 20 kilograms.

Last but not least, the Bureau approved the homologation of the latest addition to the SUPERSTARS roster, the brand-new Mercedes C63 AMG Coup, set to be fielded by Roma Racing Team for Nico Caldarola.
