New sponsors for Nascar Nationwide Series champion

Bus manufacturer Blue Bird Corporation and alternative fuel systems company Roush Cleantech will jointly serve as the primary sponsor on 2011 Nascar Nationwide Series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr's number six car during the upcoming Dollar General 300 at Chicagoland Speedway on 15th September.

Though financial terms of the agreement were not released, the two companies' sponsorship of the Roush Fenway Racing driving is estimated to be worth between US$150,000 to US$250,000, in line with other primary sponsorships in Nascar's Nationwide Series.

It is always great to have a new sponsor come into the sport, said Stenhouse. Blue Bird has such a rich history. I remember riding a Blue Bird bus when I was a kid. The partnership that Blue Bird and Roush Cleantech have formed to provide clean emissions for the environment shows the class of these two organisations. The bright yellow Ford Mustang will definitely stand out on the track. Hopefully we can get them into victory lane for their Nascar debut.

Roush Cleantech vice president of sales and marketing Todd Mouw added, "We are excited to partner with Blue Bird, the leading provider of safe and clean student transportation solutions, yet againthis time to sponsor Ricky Stenhouse Jrs number six  Nationwide Series Ford."

Blue Bird Corporation president Phil Horlock said, "As the only school bus manufacturer to provide complete alternative fuel solutions, Blue Bird is delighted to partner with a leading automotive innovator such as Roush Cleantech for this exciting race. Blue Bird is thrilled to sponsor Ricky Stenhouse, Jr as he looks to continue his winning success
