MJW Kawasaki MX Team prepares for 2013

Mark Woodage at MJW Specialists is delighted to announce his 2013 Motocross plans, having finalised a deal with Kawasaki Motors UK and with their support he will run a Youth and MX1 British Motocross team called MJW Kawasaki.

Mark has been involved in the racing scene for years, mainly in road racing and having worked with some of the best and most professional teams in the World and the UK in MotoGP, World and British Superbikes he is now eager to start his new project. Having a young son that races Motocross he was keen to get involved and at the start of 2012 started building and tuning Motocross engines.

From this his new plans to run a Youth and Adult Motocross team was formed, his aim is to help develop younger riders and progress them through to the adult ranking of the series. The idea of also running an MX1 team on the Kawasaki's would be to work alongside the youth team and help the youngsters progress, learn and develop new skills.

Mark will be joined in 2013 by Paul Keates, Paul will act as team co-ordinator for this new venture and as a former ex-motocrosser himself and current suspension technician he knows what it will take to run a successful team.

Kawasaki Motors UK has agreed to support this new venture and with their range of Motocross bikes this allows Mark to start from grass roots level with the Kawasaki KX65 and work upwards to the Kawasaki KX450F.

Mark Woodage - "I'm delighted to have been able to put all this together in such a short period of time. I am working closely with sponsors and hope to announce more news regarding sponsors and riders towards the end of the month. It's great to be able to gain the support from Kawasaki for this project and I look forward to working with them from now on to develop the youth of our sport and hopefully take them to another level. I choose Kawasaki as their range of bikes they can provide is ideal for what I want to achieve and I was really pleased when Ross Burridge agreed to help us. We have some really good people working within the team and I hope we can repay everyone with good results next season. We are hoping this will be long term and we gain some good success with the riders and Kawasaki Motors UK in 2013."

Ross Burridge - Kawasaki Motors UK -"At Kawasaki UK, we are always striving to find the next up and coming riders, and I feel that with the vast experience and expertise that Mark has at his disposal, he is an ideal candidate to help us with that challenge. Straight out of the crate, our bikes are excellent machines, and I believe that Mark and his team can take these bikes to the next level and be a force to be reckoned with. I am looking forward to the 2013 season, and the team realising their potential."
