HHC Motorsport to graduate to BRDC Formula 4 Championship
HHC Motorsport has announced that it will enter the new BRDC Formula 4 Championship in 2013, with current Ginetta Junior star Charlie Robertson heading the teams two-car assault on the series. The 15-year-old, who leads this years Ginetta Junior Championship, will make his single-seater debut in 2013 after a successful pedigree in karting before he moved into Ginettas. For HHC Motorsport, it will be the first time that it has run a team in single-seater racing and will run a two-car squad in the inaugural year of the category. The new class is aimed at aspiring single-seater racers in identical chassis operated by different teams. The 175 bhp cars will be equipped with adjustable wings and a paddle-shift gearbox and will be powered by 2-litre Ford Duratec engines. HHC Motorsports Charlie Kemp said: We are very excited about running Charlie again next year and in the new BRDC Formula 4 Championship. Weve been attracted to it because it is the most sensible step for drivers looking to move into single-seaters after junior racing and because the car is affordable, well-constructed and affordable to run. Add in the promotional push that MotorSport Vision will give to the championship and we feel that this will be a huge success. It is where we want to be as a team for 2013 and beyond and cant wait to get our hands on the new car. The championship is due to kick off in April 2013 and drivers interested in driving with HHC Motorsport should contact Charlie Kemp on 07760 336884.
