MG KX Momentum Racing heads to Rockingham BTCC

The MG KX Momentum Racing team is back in racing action this weekend as the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) heads to the Rockingham circuit in Northamptonshire for another three rounds of the leading 4-wheeled Motorsport series in the U.K.Jason Plato suffered his worst race weekend of the season last time out at Knockhill in Scotland. After qualifying on Pole Position on Saturday, his Sunday did not go to plan with a retirement after an on-track incident and mechanical issues blighted his day. As a result of this, the gap to Jasons Honda rivals at the top of the championship leader board has grown. Rockinghams three rounds of the series now take on extra significance as the double BTCC champion will be looking to claw back the lost ground.Andy Neates Scottish weekend was little better with the young Englishman also suffering from mechanical gremlins and accident damage from contact with other cars. A strong recent test at the Donington Park circuit has put the Knockhill event to rest for Andy and he heads to the Corby venue looking for a strong weekend.The whole MG KX Momentum Racing team is hoping to bounce back from their difficult weekend in Scotland and get back to winning ways at Rockingham. The teams brand-new MG 6GT has shown strong pace throughout the season at all circuit types and in every weather condition and so an incident free weekend and a good haul of championship points is well and truly on the agenda for the Triple Eight run squad.Jason Plato (#99), BTCC Standings 3rd251 points:I cant wait to get back in the groove at Rockingham.
