Drivers from the 2012 Auto One V8 Ute Racing Seriesprotected by Armor All will head to the Ute capital of the world for the Deniliquin Ute Muster Friday, 28th and Saturday, 29th September.
This will be the sixth year the V8 Ute Series has taken part in the iconic event, however this year will have a lane dedicated to the Series and will feature Jesus Racings new B& S Ute.
The Jesus Racing Team attended the event last year, so this time around have decided to dress the ute more appropriately. With the support of Light Force & Boomer Bullbars, the ute now features a roll cage, five-poster bulbar, mud flaps and aerials and V8 Ute Racing driver Andrew Fishtail Fisher is looking forward to another great event.
We had a ball last year, says Fishtail. I judged the circle work and hung with the crowd. We are looking forward to this years Ute Muster and to challenging the paradigms of the crowd, as well as their understandings of Christianity.
V8 Ute Lane will also have a V8 Ute Simulator Challenge run by Bob Jane T-Marts, giving participants the chance to win a set of new wheels and driver Kim Jane will be on hand to announce the winner.
I love going to Deni. Its such a great event and the crowd is always a lot of fun. Weve decided to interact a little more this year and hold the Simulator Challenge. Bob Jane has kindly donated a set of wheels, so hopefully well get some keen participants, said Jane.
Official Headers & Exhausts supplier to the V8 Ute Series, Pacemaker, will also have a presence in the Lane alongside the Williams Race Tech Team who will feature some of their Race Utes including the Sucker Punch Energy Drink Ute.
As usual Bundy will have a presence at the Muster and will feature the Bundaberg Racing Ute with appearances by Cameron Conkers McConville.
25,000 people and 10,000 utes are expected to attend the event. Festivities include the annual world-record attempt for the number of people wearing blue singlets in the same place at the same time. Fishtail with don a special shirt to participate in this years count.
One thing we really enjoyed last year was being involved in the Blue Singlet Count so this year, we decided to make our own blue singlet, said Fisher.
Following the annual Deni Ute Muster, McConville, Jane, Carter and Fisher will head to Mount Panorama to compete in Round 5 of the Series.
They will hit the track on Thursday, 4th October for their first practice session and then on Friday for practice session two and Qualifying.
