Thomas Biagi looks forward to build momentum in final Superstars stint

TALIAN-BASED RACER READY TO BATTLE FOR THE PODIUM AT VALLELUNGA

While the challenge of the year in Vallelunga will involve Giancarlo Fisichella (who will be making his SUPERSTARS debut aboard a Swiss Team-prepared Maserati Quattroporte) and Championship leader Vitantonio Liuzzi, fielded by CAAL Racing on a Mercedes C63 AMG, another great contender for the 2012 title will join them in a sensational showdown. Running just 22 points off Liuzzi's series lead, Thomas Biagi is set to try and go for the lead back in Italy.

The Bologna-based driver is ready for an exciting closing stint of 2012 set to start on the 6th and 7th of October at Vallelunga. The racetrack close to Rome will host round 7, and will be followed by Pergusa, a new venue for the series, and Sentul, hosting an intercontinental grand finale in Indonesia. After ending up in third and second at Imola and Budapest and being back to the podium in Mugello, Biagi is looking forward to his first win of the season with the Team Dinamic BMW M3. He will be back on a circuit where he celebrated his maiden SUPERSTARS title.I will try to do everything I can - said Biagi - even though we will suffer in terms of power. A podium finish could be equal to a win for us. I have great memories of Vallelunga, especially thinking to when I clinched the 2010 Italian Championship in front of a stellar crowd. One of the strongest points for Biagi this season is the great relationship with Team Dinamic. The car is the same of last year, but I like it a lot and it's great to drive. That's the reason why I can always take the 100% out of it. On tracks like Vallelunga we pay the price of the lack of acceleration, but that's just an added motivation for us.In less than two weeks, Biagi will aim at the top again, aware that the battle for title is still way far from over. As always, many car brands can make their way to the front: a further confirmation of the championship's high quality.
