Motors TV Weekly Highlights, 6th to 12th October

LIVE Superstars International Series

Nearly three months after they were last in action, the thunderous V8-powered machines of the Superstars International Series will roar back into life at Vallelunga for round seven of the 2012 season. Vitantonio Liuzzi leads the points in his Mercedes and will go up against a new challenger in the shape of fellow ex-Formula 1 racer Giancarlo Fisichella, who will be behind the wheel of the Maserati at his local circuit. Motors TV brings you both races live. 

- Sunday, 7 October from 10.05am (Race 1) and 3.10pm (Race 2)

FIA European Rallycross

The final round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship takes place at the Estering in Germany, a venue that has been hosting rallycross action for 40 years. It will provide one last opportunity for the likes of Liam Doran and Tanner Foust to get one over on 2012 champion Timur Timerzyanov before the year is out.

Formula Ford GB

The MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain to give it its full name reaches the end of its 2012 season at Donington Park. Series veteran Antti Buri has had control of the championship all year but rookie Eric Lichtenstein is on a seven-race winning streak and will hope to continue that run and spoil his Finnish rivals title celebrations.

MSA British Karting Championships

The penultimate round of the British Karting Championships MSA/TKM series comes from the Clay Pigeon track in Dorset. The venues claim to fame is that its Jenson Buttons local circuit and where the West Country superstar began his career. Now the UKs own current European champions Ben Barnicoat and George Russell are amongst the racers in action aiming to emulate his success.

Asia Pacific Rally Championship

The fifth of six rounds in this years FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship takes is Rally Hokkaido on Japans northern island. Chris Atkinson heads the standings but with WRC commitments preventing him from driving his Skoda in the Land of the Rising Sun, his rivals have a chance to try and catch up. Theyre led by defending champion Alister McRae in his Proton.

Britcar 24 Hours

The Britcar 24 Hours is the UKs premier twice-around-the-clock endurance race and takes place at the home of British motorsport Silverstone. The event brings together competitors from Britcars MSA British Endurance Championship and Production Cup series, and this years entry features everything from a factory-run Ginetta GT3 to a Honda Jazz.
