Ma-con Motorsports Emil Bernstorff heads to Valencias Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo Circuit this weekend (29/30 September), as the FIA European Formula Three Championship resumes action at the renowned Spanish circuit as support to the DTM.The 2011 McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award finalist enjoyed a consistent outing last time out at Zandvoort, exiting the weekend with his feet firmly established within the top ten, including a highest finish of the weekend in sixth position at the Dutch circuit.
Despite the late arrival of the VW powered Dallara F312 that hampered the young Brits performance, the 19 year-old has been consistently in the points, gaining his first podiums in the series at Norisring in July.
Having tested in Valencia previously, the 2011 ADAC Formula Masters Vice Champion remains confident of a strong points haul ahead of the weekends penultimate round.
Im looking forward to racing in Valencia this weekend, explained Bernstorff. Its a circuit that I have tested at previously so I think that were in with a chance of scoring some points, and hopefully finishing in the top six.
Qualifying will be very important as it is quite a difficult circuit to overtake on in a race situation, but hopefully we can put ourselves in a good position ahead of the races this weekend.
