Regalia heads to Monza for European F3 Open

Argentinas Facu Regalia is heading to Monza' F3 Open races next weekend, after clinching his first victory in the series at Hungaroring, and his goal is to put in a repeat performance at the wheel of his Dallara F312 fielded by Campos Racing.

Monza is the penultimate round of the European F3 Open in 2012 and Regalia's morale, boosted by his victory is high - he is looking forward to the fight for pole and podiums and to improving his current 5th place in the overall classification.

Were approaching next round really motivated, both Campos Racing and me. Finally we managed to claim that win what a wish long time ago, and we werent able to get it until then. In Hungary everything perfectly worked and there are four races left, and we will try our best to repeat in the remaining events starting at Monza. This venue is a really quick one, demanding low drag and downforce levels, and Ive been competitive there since my debut in motorsport, Regalia explained. He added that maybe Monza is an easier track to overtake other cars. So your starting grid position isnt as important as Hungaroring for instance. But we are focused on completing two good qualifying sessions and then to fight for two strong results in both races. Our win at Hungaroring proved as well that our work is being quite good and help us to continue working in the same direction. On Friday we want to check how fast RP Motorsport drivers are, because they have been pretty competitive at tracks such as Spa-Francorchamps or Paul Ricard. Anyway we are ready to face the challenge.

There are three free practice sessions scheduled on Friday at 09.00, 11.30 and 14.55 respectively. Q1 is taking place at 10.25 on Saturday with race one starting the same day at 17.10. Finally, on Sunday, Q2 starts at 09.00 and race two is set to begin at 12.45. Both races, showed live on www.f3open.tv, consist of 16 laps.
