Lorenzo quickes in Aragon MotoGP warm-up

Yamaha Factory Racings Jorge Lorenzo went fastest in warm-up for the Gran Premio Iveco de Aragn ahead of Ben Spies and Dani Pedrosa.

A time of 1.49838 was just about enough for Lorenzo to keep his teammate at bay, with the American less than two tenths behind. Repsol Honda Teams Dani Pedrosa left it until his last lap to jump up the timesheet, ultimately placing his RC213V in third.

Monster Yamaha Tech 3s Andrea Dovizioso had one of his best sessions all weekend, looking much more comfortable in the warmer conditions in fourth. His teammate and front-row starter Cal Crutchlow completed the top five. Ducati Teams Valentino Rossi ended the morning in ninth, whilst top CTR spot went to Power Electronics Aspars Randy de Puniet. Pramac Racing Teams Hctor Barber was the only crasher in the session, fortunately walking away unscathed.

Many of the riders will have been evaluating tyre choice for the race this afternoon, yet will ultimately have to wait and see how much the ambient and track temperature increases in the next hours.
