Round 10: Ernest Owen Memorial, 30 September

John Moffatt claimed the MSA British Car Trial Championship title with victory in the front-wheel-drive class on the Ernest Own Memorial trial.

Dave Oliver went into the event with a shot at the title but lost his class when his Hillman Imp developed a misfire. That left Moffatt, a former MSA British Autotest Champion and son of five-time Car Trial Champion Bill Moffatt, to claim the crown.

Meanwhile outgoing champion Barrie Parker won the event outright to secure third place in this years championship.
