4 Podiums for Forcefield Riders at Silverstone

The British Superbike Championship staged the penultimate round at Silverstone race circuit this weekend. The weather suddenly changed for the weekend and temperatures dropped dramatically, the Forcefield riders enjoyed a successful weekend at the super fast track.

It was a winning weekend for the Forcefield supported riders, Keith Farmer took a solid third place in the National Superstock 1000 race and this was enough to secure him the Championship title.

Keith Farmer - "Thankfully Forcefield didn't get abused this weekend as I stayed safe and upright. I managed to bring home the 2012 Superstock 1000 Championship, one round early. I'd like to thank all my sponsors, friends, family, team and Forcefield Body Armour for keeping me protected throughout the year - thank you!"

It was also a successful weekend in the British Supersport Championship when Forcefield wearers took a win between them, Christian Iddon won the race on Saturday and Ben Wilson took his first win this year in an epic battle on Sunday.

The only major crash of the weekend was suffered by Supersport rider Deane Brown; he suffered major bruising but no broken bones.

Deane Brown- "I had a pretty huge crash on Friday, it was about 90mph and I touched a wet patched and my bike just let go. It was a big high-side so it just threw me about 10ft in the air and I landed flat on my back, the initially thought I had broken my coccyx but it turned out it was just badly bruised and I've bruised my lungs also, if I wasn't wearing my Forcefield back and chest protector I dread to think what damage I could have suffered. I'd like to thank them once again for saving my bacon and really happy with how well it has protected me this year in some massive crashes that I have been involved in."
