BMW set for triple SUPERSTARS assault at Vallelunga‏

BMW ACE THOMAS BIAGI TO BE PARTNERED BY MAX MUGELLI AND GIOVANNI BERTON

While the Fisichella-Liuzzi challenge will be one of the highlights of the SUPERSTARS weekend at Vallelunga, the fight for the lead in standings will be an equally exciting show with several car brands battling out front in a classic spectacle for the series.

With many manufacturer represented on-track, BMW emerged as one of the major powers of the season to challenge Audi and Mercedes, as Team Dinamic, with their BMW M3 E92, is looking forward to keep their focus on wins. The team - owned by Maurizio Lusuardi - is aiming for some important results in the closing stint of the season.

The team's closest man to win has been so far former SUPERSTARS champion Thomas Biagi, who's looking forward to achieve the goal at the Roman venue. The Bologna-based man is sitting in third place in the International Series standings, 22 points off Liuzzi, and trails leader Johan Kristoffersson by just 3 points in the Italian Championship.

One of the top news of the weekend for Team Dinamic will also be the debut of Giovanni Berton and the comeback of Max Mugelli (who had missed Spa-Francorchamps after starting the season under the Mercedes banner).

Berton, who enjoyed a great open-wheel stint before moving to GT racing, will be at his maiden run in the FG GROUP-promoted championship. He will be racing on a circuit he knows really well and might provide the fans with some surprises. On the other hand, Mugelli will try to overcome the bad luck that followed him all-season long by lining-up with a new team and a car capable of running at the front of the pack.

The first responses will come on Saturday, with two practice sessions followed by qualifying. Then, the two races will provide them with some answer on Sunday.
