Cook's The Italian Job

Louise Cook  is on a massive push to make the next round and with only a week to go there is half the budget still to find for the penultimate round of the World Rally Championship.

Louise, who resorted to selling her trophies to help make Rally New Zealand, is trying different techniques with a massive position on the car up for auction and a once in a lifetime chance to take the silly seat for the Rockingham Stages Rally, see above.

Louise urges anyone who may have debated helping in 2012 to support, if possible, to help her finish her debut season without exclusion and the dreaded career ending fines.

As the season draws to a close there is also no escaping the fact that there are only 99 days to the first round of the 2013 season, Rallye Monte-Carlo.  If you would like to discuss opportunities for 2013 please drop us a line or an email and we will forward through the 2013 packages. There are various opportunities available and at many levels. If you would like to pledge your support and benefit from the fantastic media or simply would like to know a little more about the possibilities please email:- louise@rallyteamgb.com

Cook keeps in top ten despite having half the power of her rivals

Louise and all her partners can look on with pride at 2012. To step up to the sports highest level is something special in itself then not to completely suck is another major achievement. The gaps between the World stage and the National stage is huge. The demands placed on the crew and machine are massive. In just 2 World Rally rounds, Louise had completed a full seasons worth of British Rally Championship mileage. The roads are also completely different to the British stages. There is a distinct lack of mountains in Britain, but not in the WRC. This leads to some WRC stages having a massive 5 times the corners seen on a National stage, the average stage on Rallye Monte Carlo had 500 corners.

"It is invaluable experience. I believe nothing can really prepare you for the WRC except for doing the WRC. It is night and day compared to anything else and my learning curve has been absolutely vertical. I know I made the right move throwing myself in at the deep end, I just hope I am still thinking that at the end of the season." Said Louise.

Louise is currently lying in 8th place in the Production car World Rally Championship, no mean fete when you consider everyone in the championship is packing 300bhp and 4WD over Louise's 150bhp Front Wheel Drive Fiesta ST.

Louise is feeling the pressure with 25,000 to find to finish the season and the short gap between the final two rallies only adds to the pressure. There are just 2 weeks after Rally D'Italia to the final WRC round, Rallye Catalunya and the task is on for Louise to find the necessary support to draw a close to her mind blowing debut season in the World Rally Championship.
