THE 750 Motor Club is racing at Mallory Park this Sunday 14th October with a super-fast line-up of car races sure to keep the action hot and exciting on track.
The 750 Formula class features specialist built twin seat racers - although you'd need to rather small to fit in the passenger seat. Blisteringly fast though.
The 750 Trophy is a historic series for Austin 7 specials, 1172cc side-valve front-engine cars, historic 500cc F3 and other classics.
Sport Specials is a class for the hand built specialist sports cars such as Westfield and Caterhams with a power to weight of up to 340bhp/tonne. That means they are viciously fast and dramatic on track.
Formula Vee are proper single seat race cars but without aerodynamic aids. That makes for fast skilful racing.
The RGB (Road Going Bike engine) class is for two-seater cars to road going cars capable of passing an MOT. With high revving bike engines, they are fast and sound wonderful.
Finally, the MR2 class is open to normally aspirated versions of the Toyota MR2 road car. Cheap, cheerful, fast and furious best describes this class with its committed and determined drivers.
Practice starts at 0930 with the racing commencing around lunchtime. There are plenty of action packed races on the day to keep any motorsports fan happy.
With a caf, shop and beautiful walks around the lake at Mallory Park, it is the ideal day out for the whole family and tickets cost just 13 each on the gate for adults with under-14s going free of charge.
