Lloyd Hoping For Strong Finale To Porsche Season‏

Daniel Lloyd is hoping for a consistently strong conclusion to his debut season in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship next weekend, 20th/21st October, when the last two rounds of the 2012 campaign take place at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.As a huge fan of the Kent venues full 2.4-mile track layout, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Scholar cant wait for the championship finale to get underway as he strives to conclude the season in the coveted top six in the driver standings.While the previous couple of events, at Rockingham and Silverstone, have proved challenging due to difficulties with his car, which the Team Parker Racing squad is working hard to resolve, Daniel is determined to enjoy a strong weekend at Brands Hatch.Im really looking forward to the final two rounds, I absolutely love the GP track and I had a really good result there in British GT a couple of years ago [winning the G4 Class on his debut]. Its a track where you always get good racing, I cant wait to get out there and hopefully have a top weekend.I worked really closely with Rob Bell [McLaren GT factory driver] at Silverstone, who was driver coaching for us, and I was able to make some good improvements to my technique. We improved a lot which is really positive looking ahead to next year.Daniel, who is backed by TNT Post, TSD, Creechurch Private Wealth, Propack and TPA Yorkshire, has enjoyed an excellent first season in sportscars, one in which he made history at Thruxton earlier in the year by becoming the first Scholarship Winner to claim a race victory in their debut campaign.Taking a total of four podiums so far, the Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice supporter has certainly established himself as a genuine front-runner in Porsche Carrera Cup GB and aims to consolidate that status next weekend during rounds 19 and 20.As always, pre-event testing will take place on Friday, 19th October, ahead of qualifying at 14.15 on Saturday, 20th October.
