Solid 8th for Johnny Blackshaw in Brands Superstock Final

Accident Advice Solicitors supported rider Johnny Blackshaw riding for Smiths Triumph had a solid end to the season at Brands Hatch this weekend. After a disappointing practice and qualifying session the youngster managed to finish the 14-lap National Superstock 600 race in eighth place.

Johnny struggled to find a set up over the weekend that suited his style at the technical Brands Hatch Circuit. He could only manage 14th place in qualifying and he was eager to make amends in the race. He gained a really good start and was able to make up several places after the opening lap. He soon got his head down and was slowly working his way through the pack and secured eighth place as he crossed the line.

Johnny - "It's been a tough year this year and certainly didn't go the way I had hoped, it started going wrong from the start after a big off in morning warm up at the first round at Brands Hatch. This year just wasn't to be my year, I had some of the biggest crashes I've had in my racing career and they certainly knocked me backwards. I would like to thank the Smiths team for the season that I have had with them and sorry we couldn't get the results we were hoping for. I'd also like to say a big thank you to Tamara and Dave at Accident Advice Solicitors for coming on board this season and helping me out - their help was much appreciated."
