Mixed Brands Weekend for Vancraft Triumph

Motorpoint British Supersport

With Josh Caygill still recovering from injuries he sustained at Donington Park, Vancraft Triumph welcomed Scott Hudson to the team for the final round of the British Supersport Championship at Brands Hatch. Scott had never ridden a Triumph before first practice on Friday and in each session his times improved as he got used to riding the Vancraft Triumph machine.

Scott was setting good lap times and qualified in 21st place for the first race and gained 19th place after working his way through to 15th on the opening laps he was unfortunate to drop out of a points scoring position. The second race went much better for Scott and he was promoted to 20th on the grid and rode a solid race to score the final point and finished in 15th place.

Scott Hudson - "I've really enjoyed riding with the Vancraft Triumph team this weekend I was a little weary all weekend as the last thing I wanted to do was crash and I just wanted to bring it home in one piece and end the season well. I was a bit nervous for the first race and didn't push as hard as I probably could have but I wanted to get a race with the team under my belt. I felt much more relaxed and confident in the second race and was able to get in the points, all-be-it just the one it was still huge progress. The Triumph was really nice to ride and I just wish I'd been able to get a bit more track time on it before we came here to Brands. I'd like to thank the Vancraft Team for taking me under their wing for this final round and it's been a good experience for me."

 Metzeler Superstock 600s

With every race meeting Joe Collier in the Superstock 600 class riding for Vancraft Triumph just keeps improving and each outing. He had a solid weekend during practice and qualifying and was able to put the bike on the front row in 3rd place on the grid. He got a great start and was away with the leading pack, he looked strong and comfortable during the race and rode a mature race to bring the Vancraft Triumph team their second podium of the season with a solid second place finish.

Joe Collier - "It's a mega feeling to end the season on a high with a podium and a great way to go into the winter season. Everything went well for me this weekend and the Vancraft Triumph was working really well, it's been a good year, tough at the start but definitely got better towards the end and to get a couple of podiums along the way is great. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the boys that helped me this year in the Vancraft Triumph especially Mr Caygill team they have been brilliant and glad I could repay them with some good results. I'd also like to thank my personal sponsors and mainly my Dad for all the help he has given me over the years."

Team Owner - Andrew Caygill - "We've had a mixed year with riders, injuries on the downside but on the plus side also some good racing and a couple of podiums. I'd like to personally thank all the riders, mechanics for all their hard work and help all season, without them this wouldn't be possible and also the sponsors who have helped us all season. We hope to be back again in 2013 and without the help and support we get from everyone involved we know this wouldn't be possible, thank you."
