Bernstorff eyes podiums in Hockenheim uropean Formula finale‏

Ma-con Motorsports Emil Bernstorff returns to Hockenheim this weekend (20/21 October), gunning for a brace of strong finishes in the season finale of the FIA European Formula Three Championship.

Bernstorff, a finalist in the 2011 McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award, enjoyed two top six finishes in Valencia last time out as he continued to impress in the second half of his maiden season in Europes most prestigious Formula Three series.The 2011 ADAC Formula Masters Vice Champion returns to Hockenheim this weekend stronger, after the late delivery of his VW powered Dallara F312, just days before the season opener at the Formula One World Championship venue back in April, hampered the youngsters initial progress due to limited testing.Confident with the cars ability and setup after a couple of days testing since Valencia, Bernstorff who has earned a brace of podiums in the championship to date, is keen to add to his tally at the season finale this weekend.It will be interesting to see how we have progressed compared to everyone else since our last visit to Hockenheim, said Bernstorff.We have done some testing since our last outing in Valencia which has benefitted us, so Ill be ready to push for a brace of top six finishes, if not podiums.
